Our English curriculum follows the learning outcomes as set out in the 2014 National Curriculum.  To ensure the children have access to quality texts throughout their time at Bushmead, they follow a Book Spine in their English lessons from Reception to Year 6.  These texts are selected due to the variety of challenge and depth of language, concepts and illustrations contained within them.  The children are also introduced to the works of key authors.  Through this literature, links are made across the curriculum.
