We hope you've had the chance to be scientists while you've been learning at home. Here are some fantastic resources to support you with lots of ideas.
Let's Go Live is a brilliant YouTube show from Maddie Moate (who you might know from Do You Know? on CBeebies) and Greg Foot. There are 50 episodes so far, covering lots of different topics, like Space, Dinosaurs, Gardens, Theme Parks, Oceans, Magic and so much more. Each one has interesting makes to try at home, quizzes, facts, silly costumes and sometimes special guests. We'd love to see photos of any of the activities that you try at home.
Explorify is a website full of science resources that we use in school. They have set up some special 'Explorify at Home' pages with activities you can do with your family.
STEM has a comprehensive page of links to home learning ideas from all the different areas of the Science curriculum. If you want to find out more about a specific topic this is a great place to start.
PSTT has lots of ideas for home science activities. Each two page sheet has activities that are:
- clear and simple, using household resources
- accessible and manageable for all
- fun for children and their families to do
- linked to follow up activities
