Year 6 Running Club
Year 6 Running Club starts Wednesday 16th March 2019 3:30-4:30pm with Mr Leech
Collection from the Upper School Playground.
Running Club aims to increase stamina and fitness in a fun way, ranging from longer distances focusing on pacing to shorter distances to work on speed.
Week 4: Longer laps of the school grounds. Work on pacing for longer distances. Great session everyone!
Week 3: Looking at different styles of running
Less distance was covered in week 3 as there was more of a focus on different running styles and strategies to improve fitness. Children looked at sprint methods and relays to allow more rest time and working at higher intensity for short periods.
